Perilously Close

Impeachment is all the rage among the raging:

During a Wednesday town hall in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) told a member in the audience that while he didn’t “have the legal background” to know whether Obama carried out any high crimes and misdemeanors, the president certainly was getting “perilously close.”

“I think there’s some intended violation of the law in this administration, but I also think there’s a ton of incompetence of people who are making decisions,” Coburn said in a video flagged by BuzzFeed on Thursday.

What have they got on him?  Well, there’s starting a war against a country that never attacked us, using the Justice Department to appoint political cronies to go after their opposition, flagrantly ignoring intelligence warnings about terrorists because it came from an appointee from the previous administration, outing a CIA operative solely for the sake of revenge against her husband who called bullshit on the administration, tacitly authorizing the use of torture on prisoners of war….  Oh, wait, that was the last guy.

So far, the only thing they’ve got on Barack Obama is that he is both black and a Democrat.  They won’t say it — although a number of them have gotten perilously close to it — but that’s the real reason, and we all know it.

2 barks and woofs on “Perilously Close

  1. This is why I’m POd at the Dems for keeping the gloves on in ’07. Impeachment is serious – for anyone who understands the implications of the process. For the Teahad, it’s just one more tool to put Dems where they belong. There’s precious little likelihood that any other Dem President wouldn’t face the same rabid Teahad if BHO hadn’t been elected: HRC would have been impeachable simply for her girlybits, Edwards for his philandering, and Dean for his occasional bouts of crazyspeak. It’s not the person – it’s simply the fact that to them the majority of Real Hetero Xtian Patriotic Ahmurrcans™ are GOTea, so any Dem who wins must have cheated.
