Question of the Day

With school starting up again…

What was your favorite year in school?

It’s perfectly okay to say “None.”

6 barks and woofs on “Question of the Day

  1. All of them, grade school through college. I love learning! Hated recess in 6th grade, though (damn bratty boys!). And loved my senior year high school English class. For me, the new year isn’t Jan. 1. It’s the start of school in the fall.

  2. My eighth grade. Last year of achievement tests. My teachers basically let me do independent study as long as I took the tests and turned in homework and test papers.

I was rated higher than a college junior on English, Reading comprehension and Mathematics.

I resented having to go to high school. I thought that it was an almost total waste of 4 years of my life. The only thing that I got out of it was bookkeeping. The only reason that I took that course was that I was the only male.

I probably made more money from understanding bookkeeping and accounting from the firm basis that I got in high school, so it probably wasn’t a total waste.

  3. Sophomore – the year I lettered. I had a great group of friends, and excellent teachers who infected me with the idea that this stuff would be useful some day beyond the test. My Junior and Senior years were at a (much) smaller school, and I didn’t have much of a place there. So I think with fondness of my Junior year, while going to the reunions of my second school – our 30th is in October.
