Annals of Asshattery

I try to avoid Sarah Palin and her dullardry, but every now and then I come across something that invites comment the same way a dog turd in the middle of the living room carpet does.

When she’s not launching a pre-emptive attack in the War on Christmas by exploiting it for her own gain, she’s telling the vacant jars on Today about the evils of Obamacare.

The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health-care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there’s more competition, there’s less tort reform threat, there’s less, um, trajectory of the cost increases, and those plans have been proposed over and over again. And what thwarts those plans, it’s the far left, it’s President Obama and his supporters who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor patient relationship links to reform health care.

Okay, um, what?

Bonus Track:  She also thinks the pope has been pallin’ around with liberals.

6 barks and woofs on “Annals of Asshattery

  1. Bonus Track: She also thinks the pope has been pallin’ around with liberals

IIRC a certain significant figure in the distant past palled around with tax collectors, prostitutes, lepers and indigent sometimes-fishermen. I’m waiting for her to say something about that.

  2. I’ve said often that Palin would need 3 week’s intensive coaching just to recite the alphabet, so her incoherence isn’t surprising. What got to me was that anyone who deserves the title “journalist” would have asked some kind of follow-up question and the folks at Today just accepted it as if it made sense and moved on.

    • For once I’m with the MSM bobbleheads: if that was the reply to the follow-up question, there’s not much point asking any more. I’ll wait until Palin gets past random-word-generator capacity and achieves something like coherence before I’ll demand more pressure from “journalists” interviewing her.

  3. Even Katie Couric pressed her on which newspapers she read! Is that all that is left of hard hitting journalism?

And Palin also goofed when she said “…who will not allow the Republicans to usher in free market, patient-centered, doctor patient relationship links to reform health care.”

She meant to say “Doctor-Politician-Patient” relationship, especially when the patient is a woman.

  4. That’s right up there with that Miss Teen South Carolina’s (I think it was) comment about educating U.S. Americans, etc.
