Republican lawmakers have to be embarrassed with how little they’ve accomplished in Congress, President Barack Obama said in an interview with MSNBC Hardball’s Chris Matthews.
No, Mr. President, I don’t think they are. In fact, I’m pretty sure there are a number of Republicans who are proud of the fact that they did nothing. That’s their philosophy: government doesn’t work, and when it does, it screws everything up, so getting nothing done is exactly what they want. For them, gridlock is a feature, not a bug.
