Mini-Controversy of the Week

Sorry, but I don’t understand all the hype over whatever it was that football player Richard Sherman said after the game the other night.  I listened to the clip.  He didn’t cuss, he didn’t use racial or sexist slurs.  So what?

4 barks and woofs on “Mini-Controversy of the Week

  1. He’s the benefit of racial stereotyping, being cast as a thug. Unfortunately, he’s a Stanford graduate who is often very articulate. But if you ask someone to be a warrior for several hours, reward them handsomely for brutal physical performance, and then within seconds of the biggest play of their career, stick a mic in their face, please don’t be “shocked” when they come off sounding warrior-like.

Oh, and BTW, please note that no one is arguing his central point — he is the best corner in the league, and Crabtree was a loser for baiting him all week.

  2. I admit I’m a Seahawks fan, but I didn’t think it was any worse than you hear from WWE wrestlers. I know that’s not a very high standard.
