I don’t mean early voting as in at 4:00 a.m.; I mean the two weeks before Election Day:
Why wait? Vote early!
Early voting allows for two weeks of voting before Primary or General Election Day at one of 25 convenient locations. Registered voters can go to any early voting location.
If you’re here in Miami-Dade, go here to find out a location convenient for you. Not only will you get to vote at your leisure, chances are that the phone calls and solicitations from candidates will stop. Win-win.
HT to Bryan for the reminder.
I voted by mail two weeks ago and showed no picture ID; Russ went over to the library Tuesday and voted; he said there was no fuss. According to news reports, 9300 plus voted in Hidalgo County next to us on Monday.
We two used the happy experience of voting early at the Wood County courthouse for years. It was a 20 minute drive to the nice little town of Bowling Green. We stopped for lunch after and made an outing of casting our ballots. But now that we’re in Hamilton County the courthouse is waaaaay downtown in the heart of Cincinnati. No way am I going to try to find parking and exercise my right to early voting. We’ll wait for the second Tuesday in November and vote down the street at the Montgomery city hall. Makes a difference and I can see why all this hassle is just that for people who have to work and can’t spare the bus fare or the time to be a party of one. Absentee ballots are all the more important as is the weekend voting that Ohio has just eliminated. Get out the vote one way or another, people. It’s your future that’s on the line.
