Jeb Bush tells Fox News that he’d have invaded Iraq, too.
Former Florida GOP Gov. Jeb Bush says that he would have authorized the 2003 invasion of Iraq but acknowledges that mistakes were made after Saddam Hussein had been removed from power, in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.
“I would have [authorized the invasion], and so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody. And so would almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got,” Bush told Kelly in a wide-ranging interview that will be aired Monday night.
Okay, now listen to how the question was framed: “Knowing what we know now…” which I assume means after we all knew that George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and the rest of his gang manipulated and lied about the intelligence to get us into the war, he’d still invade, although, to give him the benefit of the doubt, it doesn’t sound like he really understands the question. But even if we give him that yardage, he still thinks it was a good idea to invade Iraq? Really?
So far the only difference I can see between Jeb and George is that Jeb doesn’t talk like Yosemite Sam.
