Whine List

Depending on who you listen to, Donald Trump either browbeat the crap out of news anchors and executives at an off-the-record meeting in his Fortress of Solitude, or he whined about how mean they were to him and used unflattering photos to illustrate their stories.

I’m going with the latter.

The source said the meeting started with a typical Trump complaint about the “dishonest media,” and that he specifically singled out CNN and NBC News for example as “the worst.”

He also complained about photos of himself that NBC used that he found unflattering, the source said.

Trump turned to NBC News President Deborah Turness at one point, the source said, and told her the network won’t run a nice picture of him, instead choosing “this picture of me,” as he made a face with a double chin. Turness replied that they had a “very nice” picture of him on their website at the moment.

NBC spokespeople did not immediately return a request for comment.

Trump also singled out CNN, the source said, without elaborating on what the president-elect said about the network. A CNN spokeswoman wrote in an email that the network would not comment on an off-the-record meeting.

Ohfergawdsake.  He doesn’t get to make the rules, and if he expects the press to treat him with all due respect, he has to stop acting like a spoiled kid who doesn’t get the last slice of cake because he’s a whiny little brat.

If we had a press corps with an ounce of backbone and integrity for true journalism, they’d either laugh this clown out of the room or they’d dig up every unflattering photo they have of him — and there are plenty, believe me — and run them every chance they get.

2 barks and woofs on “Whine List

  1. Trump feels like he is a victim! He certainly needs to get a thicker skin because he is going to need it. More people voted for Clinton than voted for him. This is a fact. If he thinks people are not going to push back he is sadly mistaken.

  2. Rachel Maddow had a good piece on this last night. He needs to seriously get a grip, this is going to be a long four years of hurt fee-fees otherwise.
