Last night I saw a paid political announcement promoting Trump’s “accomplishments” in the first 100 days. Wow, you have got to be really insecure about any number of things (Dr. Freud on Line 1) to think you have to run an election-style ad after you’re in office.

And then I read the bit about his wondering why bloody Andrew Jackson didn’t resolve the Civil War and how much it upset him.  Seeing as how Mr. Jackson died some sixteen years before the war, I’m thinking maybe we ought to amend Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States, and passed a Grade 8 history exam.

This is not the mindset of someone you want running the country.  Hell, it is not the mindset of someone you want driving your Uber.

3 barks and woofs on “Pathetic

  1. It’s not just the ads — which I understand are being run by a PAC — but holding rallies? Seriously? Who does that who’s not running for office?

So now we’re faced with someone who can run for office, but can’t do the job once he’s been sort of elected, so he just keeps campaigning. Right.

  2. This has been worse than I expected. I seriously question his mental stability and his grasp of the facts. We are on a perilous course.

  3. I would have substituted naturalized citizen test for the history exam but that would probably be too hard.
