Keep It Up

Apparently the word is getting out that Trumpcare sucks.

Just 12% of Americans support the Senate Republican health care plan, a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds, amid a roiling debate over whether the GOP will deliver on its signature promise to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

In the survey, taken Saturday through Tuesday, a 53% majority say Congress should either leave the law known as Obamacare alone or work to fix its problems while keeping its framework intact.

The Senate is getting the word from constituents and will hear a lot more this holiday weekend when they go to the 4th of July picnics and parades and are greeted by people like you who will make their feelings known.

2 barks and woofs on “Keep It Up

  1. Having had a phoned-in “town hall meeting” with my Senator, Rob Portman the other night I realize that the goal is to shovel whatever monstrosity of health care “reform” they’ve devised down the throats of Americans, get it behind them and move on to what really interests them, tax reform. Portman rushed through a description of the current bill in about 20 seconds and then spent nearly ten minutes elaborating his ideas for fixing the tax code. He then asked a constituent for her questions. Realizing he had selected callers for their friendly attitude I hung up. This was his way of listening to the voters without having to submit to the signs and shouted angry questions in a real town hall meeting. It was typical of how the GOP is handling the mess that is health care in America. They just wish it would go away.
