2 barks and woofs on “Slow Night

  1. We live in an area where most of the residents are Seventh-Day Adventists; they don’t permit their kids to participate in Halloween, so we have been spared the need to buy candy that we’ll end up eating ourselves for some time now.

  2. We lived in a homeowners’ association that posted a sign at the entrance: “No Soliciting”. I guess kids dressed up as pirates and princesses are solicitors. But the first Halloween we lived there we stocked up waiting for the calls that never came. Not wanting to waste it we saw that it got “used”. And we got hooked on Halloween candy. Years later I still keep a bag handy in case of emergency, low energy – or whatever. Don’t worry, you’ll be glad for it sooner or later.
