Christmas Eve Moon

The December full moon is called the Cold Moon, and when I took this picture, it was a little chilly here in suburban Miami.

2 barks and woofs on “Christmas Eve Moon

  1. It was cloudy last night in Chicago, so I didn’t get to see it rise, but I caught it this morning. It was bigger than usual because, as I understand it, it’s at perigee.

And yes, it was chilly, although the weather so far has been pretty mild for December.

  2. Wonderful spooky picture! It never occurred to me to look out and up as my guest were leaving. I wonder if it was shining here – we’ve had nothing but clouds until this morning when the skies turned aquamarine blue with nary a cloud. Gorgeous, cold December day in fly-over country.
