Every so often we get a gentle reminder here in South Florida that we don’t live in the tropics. This would be a nice summer day in northern Michigan.
The red warning triangle is for the rip tides, not because it’s below 70F.
One bark on “Cool Breeze”
Right now it’s 18 degrees and we got just shy of 2 feet of snow over the weekend. My golden pups think it’s the best present they’ve ever received. Our driveway is about 200 feet long and luckily the neighboring farmer plows it for us, in exchange for a couple of bottles of Crown Royal every year, but there’s still lots of areas that need to be shoveled.
A long time ago I did an end-to-end hike of the Appalachian Trail and one of my favorite photos was taken at a trail shelter with a hiker who was from Florida – I’m shirtless and the guy is wearing a down parka, and we’re about a foot from each other.
