Just Relax

I spent time yesterday with one of my closest friends from college.  Rich and I were both theatre majors and even though his family lived in the area, he lived in my freshman dorm.  We have been friends through thick and thin and it was deeply meaningful for us to sit on the patio of his family’s home and just talk.

That’s what is important.  There may be a lot going on in the world, and part of my job here is to look at it, but as Rich and I did yesterday, it’s also really important to just let it be.

2 barks and woofs on “Just Relax

  1. I spent yesterday dealing with a flooded basement caused by the heavy snowfall followed by unseasonably warm weather and rain (and yes, even a tornado about two hours west of here). Today looks to be more of the same because I didn’t make much progress yesterday. One of the challenges of living in a 120-year-old farmhouse…..Oddly enough, one of my kitties loves to swim and thinks the flooded basement is cool.

  2. That picture is a gift to someone (me) who’s so tired of the headlines, the aching arthritic joints, the middle-of-the-night-staring at the ceiling dreads. I wish I could frame it, light it and hanging on the ceiling above my bed. Thank you.
