Right-wing clown Larry Klayman promised to rally thousands of people in Lafayette Park across the street from the White House yesterday and by sheer force of numbers make President Obama capitulate to the masses and come out with his hands up and surrender.
Um, no.
Larry Klayman predicted that his rally calling for the overthrow of President Obama would draw “millions to occupy Washington D.C.” and that those millions would “occupy parks, sidewalks, public areas” until the president leaves office. In the end, no more than a hundred people showed up for today’s big event.
Nevertheless, Klayman told Tea Party activists that he is still confident that the Reclaim American Now rally will force the president to resign and that grateful Americans will beseech Klayman and his allies to organize a new Continental Congress in Philadelphia.
Based on the photos, saying even a hundred showed up is generous, and some of them were just passing tourists who thought this was some kind of show put on by the Visitors Bureau like those live-action re-enactors at Williamsburg.
Looks like Klayman’s Kaucasian Kaucus dissipated like a “faht in a Downeasta” as we say in Maine…
And once again dozens of Good Right-thinking Upstanding Xtian Hetero Caucasian Patrioc Real Ahmurrcans™ get their panties in a twist just because the POTUS is one of those Other people. Does this really count as a protest? Or is it just on a par with the wingnut preachers with sandwich boards screaming about the End of the World?
BTW – dunno if it’s a typo, but RWW calls this little menage a quinze the “Reclaim American Now” rally. Apparently they think the US has one N too many.
The posters and placards they were carrying were nauseating.
