I don’t normally get all wonky with polls because they are a snapshot and opinions can change overnight, especially when there’s a shiny object or something (“Ground Zero Mosque! Agh!”) to distract the voters, but all the recent news about the Democrats headed for a massive train wreck in November made me wonder whether or not that was really the case. Apparently it’s not, according to Gallup:

Republicans and Democrats are tied at 46% among registered voters in Gallup’s weekly tracking of congressional voting preferences, marking a shift after five consecutive weeks in which the Republicans held the advantage.

Okay, you Democrats, you can come out of the thumb-sucking fetal position at least until the next one that shows that not only will the GOP take over the House and Senate, they’re going to replace 30 Rock with a sitcom called $#*! My Jesus Says starring Pat Boone and Kirk Cameron.
